I was born and raised in DuBois, Illinois . Graduated Ashley High School, Ashley, Illinois 1963, attended Southern Illinois University, joined U.S. Air Force 1965, and served at DaNang, RVN 67-68.
- Discharged from USAF in 1969.
- Attended Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville.
- Manager for Red Lobster Restaurant and transferred to Cincinnati, Ohio 1974.
- Retired from Duke Energy 2002 and worked for the Transportation Security Agency and Aegis Security Company.
- Active with VFW, American Legion and DAV.
- Member of the Cincinnati VA Medical Center Patient Family Advisory Council.
- Married with two daughters and five grandchildren.
